Anyone else think oil change intervals here are way too short for the heat?

So my Golf R just hit the 5k mark since the last service and the reminder light is already pinging me every time I start it up which feels kind of ridiculous honestly because I’m running full synthetic Liqui Moly but I guess the heat and the stop start traffic on the Corniche just eats through everything faster than it would back in Europe. I was poking around on the alzaabiautocare site to see what they charge for a Volkswagen engine oil change service center visit versus the dealership and it got me wondering if anyone’s actually stretched it to 7 or 8 thousand kilometers here in Abu Dhabi without their engine throwing a tantrum. I’m not trying to be cheap I just hate the idea of dumping perfectly good oil if it’s not really necessary but I also don’t want to grenade the turbo so where’s the sweet spot in this climate do you reckon?
