Anyone know a good transmission specialist around ICAD?
I’ve just started a new job out in the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi and I’m absolutely loving the reduced commute compared to my old place in Dubai, but the downside is I don’t know the area at all when it comes to garages and workshops. My 2018 A5 has just ticked over 75,000 kms and I’m pretty certain the gearbox oil has never been touched because I bought the car as an ex-lease vehicle and the service history is basically just oil changes and brake pads. I’ve been noticing a slight judder when the car is cold and changing from 2nd to 3rd, nothing major yet but I know these things don’t get better on their own and I’d rather sort it out before it becomes a proper problem. The thing is I work long hours so I really need somewhere that’s close to the office so I can drop the car off and not have to worry about arranging a lift or taking a taxi across the city. I’ve seen a few places around the ICAD area that claim to work on European cars but I’m always a bit skeptical because I’ve been burned before by a place that said they knew Audis but clearly didn’t have a clue. Any recommendations would be massively appreciated.
