I hope you realize the traffic there is nothing like what you’d find in the US. It’s pure chaos out there, and if you grow up there you get used to it from an early age. For tourists though, driving anything on those roads is a real challenge. Your smartest move is to stick to taxis.

I really wouldn’t deal with the taxi drivers there if I were you. They’ll drive you in circles around the same streets, claiming there’s traffic or the road’s closed, and you end up paying double what the meter should actually show. Renting something two-wheeled also makes the whole road chaos thing way less scary once you’re out there riding it.
