Does the brand of battery actually matter or is it all the same?
I’m about to replace the battery in my SUV and I’ve been looking at different options, but honestly I’m a bit overwhelmed by all the choices out there. I’ve seen prices ranging from really cheap to surprisingly expensive, and I’m not sure if the expensive ones are actually worth the extra money or if I’m just paying for a brand name. I’ve heard people swear by brands like Bosch and Varta, saying they last much longer, but I’ve also seen cheaper brands that seem to have decent reviews. I’m also not sure if I need an AGM battery or if a standard flooded battery would be fine for my car, which is a 2019 Japanese SUV with start-stop technology. I’ve read that start-stop systems need AGM batteries because they’re designed to handle the frequent discharging and recharging, but I’ve also heard that some people get away with using standard batteries in these cars. I really don’t want to spend money on something that’s going to fail prematurely, but I also don’t want to overpay for features I don’t actually need. I’ve been checking out some options online at http://batteryzoneuae.com and they seem to have a good selection with clear specs and prices. Has anyone here done the comparison and figured out whether the premium brands actually last longer in our climate, or am I better off going with a mid-range option and replacing it a bit more often?
