So I’ve been talking to a private seller about a 2018 Ghost that’s been on my radar for a few weeks now and on paper it’s exactly what I want, low miles and the right color combo but every time I bring up taking it to a shop just to have a look underneath before we close the deal he gets all cagey and says he doesn’t want strangers “messing with the electronics” which is the exact kind of thing that makes me want to look at the electronics twice as hard honestly. I know with these cars even a minor hydraulic leak in the suspension or a faulty sensor in the infotainment system can turn into a six figure headache if you’re not careful and I’m not about to drop that kind of cash on a handshake and a prayer. I was trying to find a place that actually knows these cars well enough to do a Rolls-Royce pre-purchase detailed evaluation without treating it like just another BMW and I saw that Exotic Auto Services has a specific page for it which makes me feel a little better that they’ve seen the complicated stuff before. I’m just sitting here wondering if I should just walk away because the seller is being weird or if I should push harder and offer to pay for the inspection myself just to see if he’s hiding something obvious. Anyone on here ever bought a used Rolls in the UAE and actually had a seller welcome the inspection with open arms?
