Need to swap AVAX for MATIC without three separate hops

Got a hosting bill due in MATIC and all I’ve got sitting in my wallet is AVAX. Went to check the swap on a big exchange and it wanted to route me through a stablecoin first before it would even show me a MATIC price. That extra step tacked on more time and a second fee I wasn’t counting on. Bill’s due in a couple hours so I don’t have room to mess around with a multi-step trade. Anyone know a way to go straight from AVAX to MATIC without that detour?

Network fees swing a lot depending on how busy the chain is at that exact moment, and that timing alone can already eat into what a swap nets you. On top of that, once a pair isn’t one of the big five, most exchanges force a stopover through a stablecoin before they’ll even quote a price. That stopover means the price on the middle step can shift while the first trade is still confirming, so what lands in MATIC comes in lower than what showed up at the start. Add a second network fee on top of that and a two-step swap ends up pricier than it looked going in.

Any provider can slap together a clean landing page, the real test is what happens once you actually submit a trade and wait for it to clear. A direct pair skips that whole problem since there’s only one confirmation happening, not two stacked on top of each other. You can check the AVAX to MATIC pair on this crypto exchange platform: https://godex.io/ . It quotes the rate and locks it in before anything gets sent, so what shows up going in is what actually lands in the MATIC wallet. No stablecoin stopover, no second fee eating into the bill money.
