Where can we find a rape defense lawyer?
A friend of mine is in serious trouble. A woman he dated for several months went to the police and accused him of rape. He says it never happened and that everything between them was consensual, but their relationship ended badly and now he’s facing a criminal accusation. His family has never dealt with anything remotely like this. Where can they find a lawyer who handles rape cases?

Dude, tell him to stay out of every group chat where people are arguing about what happened. Mutual friends will pass screenshots around, add their own version, and make the situation even worse. He should keep every message between him and the woman and stop contacting her altogether. Trying to clear his name through private messages could hand the prosecution something new to use.

His family also shouldn’t grab the first attorney who says they handle criminal cases. A rape accusation isn’t the same as a bar fight or a DUI, and the defense may depend on months of private conversations between two people.
