    The point about complete battery failure affecting multiple systems on modern vehicles is worth taking seriously. Older cars you could jump start and drive away, newer ones sometimes need diagnostic work after a full failure because various systems lose their settings. Replacing before it fully dies avoids that whole situation. Worth getting it tested at the first sign of slow cranking rather than hoping it holds on a bit longer.
